No Soft Cell Just Poetical Inspiration!

Now Marc Almond is a real 'Nutter' but he has written some good stuff like this one, 'Say Hello Say Goodbye'. So I asked him if I could slightly 'bend' the lyrics, he agreed as long as the lyrics contained a 'Soft Cell' between the lines, I agreed to his slightly 'gay' wish, so here we go:

Standing at the door of my Pink Cadillac

Crying in the back

Was a girl called Jack

And I'm gonna make sure she was not a lad

Otherwise, it would be the standing joke of the year, so bad

She was a just a sex toy, a sleep around

A lost and found, so I picked her up from the ground

I wanted to save her from a living hell

Standing in a cocktail skirt dressed to sell

nicknamed "Perverts Meet', I could tell

I said, "you're used to wearing less."

"Your life's a mess God does not bless."

I pulled up with my Pink Cadillac

She said, "50 bucks, I am called Jack."

I asked are you a 'Soft Cell?' (There you are Marc I kept my promise!)

She replied, "go to hell!"

"Take a look at my face for the last time!"

I said, "jump in Jack I believe you this time."

I apologised and said "hello, not goodbye!"

Under the deep red light,

it was the middle of the night

"Here are you $50 bucks, jump in the back"

"Hey, lovely lady, I only want to save your soul, Jack"

"So take off that unbecoming frown"

"Your life is now longer down"

"l don't need someone that's going cheap in the sales!"

"I need a loving housewife, not for perverted males."

"Who'll give me a steady life and won't keep going off the rails"

She cried, I said, "Jack believe me."

"I now belong to you, you see."

"Take a look at my face for the first time."

"I don't know you, but you will now know me"

"Say hello, not goodbye, and happy we will be!"

"Say 'adios' to your 'Street Life."

"Say hallo and I vow to make you my wife,

and keep you away from this living crime!"

"We're strangers meeting for the first time,"

"so just smile and say hello."

She sat on the back seat and cried

I said, "Your Street Life just died"

And then I said, "we will both try!"

"Say hello, do not wave goodbye"

Thanks Marc and your 'Soft Cell' for my inspiration; I love this song by the way.
