If life wasn't confusing enough for a lonely cat, Claude, a wonderful looking farm cat who shows no characteristics whatsoever of being a 'macho' or 'stud' around the farm. Instead, he perches aloof on his pedestal, a farm fence, poses downwards, avoids smelling felines rear ends, and refuses to get into territorial battles with dominant males.
Claude is seen more next door on his neighbour's terrace lazing in the sun, when it shines, a rarity in the Eifel region of Germany, instead of chasing after mice, or jumping into a convenient bird house in an attempt to catch a bird, which his more aggressive feline colleagues do regularly! He also refuses to eat with other cats and demands that he has a separate bowl to dine on!
No, for Claude, such typical cat traits and exploits are nothing for him. The farm where he originally came from was convinced, he was gay, but on observing Claude more carefully, the neighbours discovered he is not gay, or hetero, in fact, he is attracted to nothing!
After inquiring at the local vet to find out what the hell is wrong with Claude, and why he doesn't act like a normal cat, the vet looked at his testicles, which were quite normal, checked his heart, also no problem, and could only conclude that Claude should really be Claudia! A female cat trapped in the body of a male cat!
Penguins, some primates, worms, amoebas, and other animal species can be bisexual, but Claude is certainly not that! The vet could have removed Claude's pride and joy but decided not to because that would cause him/her even more distress, and although poor old Claude, or Claudia, is a lonely soul, he, or she, is a lovely cat, enjoys his, or her life, and helps keep the numbers of cats down roaming the farm by not participating in any form of sexual activity.
Only farm mice and birds, who now know Claude, or Claudia, is not dangerous to their
existence and just love his/her company. Claude/Claudia has adopted his/her neighbours because life on the neighbouring farm is much too stressful for a Transsexual cat and he/she can just be himself/herself without having to be bullied by the other, reasonably normal cats (are there any?), male and feline!
What a beauty he or she is, but who really cares what he or she is because he or she certainly does not! Miauw!
What kind of exercise does Claude/Claudia get in its four hours of wake time? Will rolling and purring keep it fit. I guess love will keep him young.........
